My door goes down until it is 5-6 inches off the ground, and comes right back up. what's wrong?
This is a clear sign that your safety eyes are out of alignment and need to be re-aligned.
My power is out and I need to get my car out of the garage. What do I do?
You must pull the emergency release cord. This will enable you to use the door manually, and once power has been restored, the opener needs to be re-engaged.
My opener is making a humming sound and I see white dust. What could be wrong?
This tells us that the gears are becoming worn and need to be replaced.
